Poems of faith by Pam Mallory

Aloneness
Today again I am here
As always, trying to be near
I feel a tug upon my heart
Not knowing if the strength I have to start
A few words spoken show me the light
The hardness begins to give up the fight
My soul reaches out to the voice of my King
The joy of Christ drives me to sing
From my Savior I should expect no less
For my Lord has cast away my aloneness

Family
Chosen for me they gather around
Not a better one I could have found
Looking into the faces and seeing nothing but care
Thank you my King for answering my prayer
He scripted the map laid my road ahead of me
To lead me to His house and to my family

For You
Your servant is what I aspire to be
I long for that to be laid upon me
To serve Your bidding each and every day
I have Faith that You will show me the way
To suffer I know I must also do
I will do all of these things only for You

Forgive Me
To cause you pain was a goal not set
But through my hurt and anger I did it yet
You suffered a lot and sometimes alone
Waiting to see who would cast the next stone
My heart was hardened and shut to you
Not really caring what you were going through
I did not know why you had dislike in your voice
Now I realize I gave you no choice
I went to my Father and asked him what to do
Every time he pointed me to you
I realize now to not face the enemies heat
I must lay myself at your feet
Forgiveness I beg for you to give me
I put myself upon your mercy

Gossips
Stay my tongue before I speak
May Your favor be what I seek
Deafen my ears to all but you
For your word is all that is true
May only encouragement leave my lips
Let my legacy be not one of gossips

Searching for Love
Love is what we are born to want
Not knowing why our dreams it insists to haunt
Some think they find it when they blindly choose
So afraid if they wait they are certain to lose
Searching the most hidden of places
Constantly looking into strangers faces
If we only to look into the face, there all along
Our hearts shall begin to sing loves endearing song
The Savior offers that hope from above
His that which we seek, he is our Love.

Seek Him
See him standing there?
He can be seen everywhere
All you need is to open your eyes
Lift up your head and look to the skies
He is comfort and protection from harm
There is no stronger shield than His arm
He will lend you His power if you have a need
Your strength through Him you enemies should heed
He will forgive you, you only to ask
To confess is your one and only task
Forgive them He said as He looked above
Up on that Cross He showered us with Love.

To Be Separate
To be apart from you is the beginning
Of denial, loneliness and eventually sinning
To dwell with you is my only grace
Talking, praying and seeking your face
The enemy tempts me with words so sweet
Without you I face an aching defeat
A brother or sister I turn to for aide
Reminds me of the debt you so willingly paid
I go to the place to join others like me
The glory of your love I so wonderfully see
I lift my hands and to the altar I flee
Separate from you I again never want to be

Triathlon
For worldly success we race from the start
That being what we make the goal of our heart
There is no winner you see to that race
When it is over there is only dark empty space
The Triathlon that ultimately matters the most
Is The Father, Son and Holy Ghost

'Twas the night before Christmas, at MOMC.
No one was standing but all on bended knee.
Pastor Sands had been praying for every last soul,
For the battle we were fighting was taking its toll.
Wednesday had arrived and the Church was full once more.
So many children you could barely open the door.
The Bus was unloaded but Randy wasn’t done yet.
He was going to Entertain Mart to see who else he could get.
Joy Belles had started and we could hear them all sing.
Women teaching girls how to worship the King.
Pioneers for Christ were going full force.
Men teaching Boys how to stay the Lords Course!
Little Sweethearts were overjoyed which was a usual treat.
Their love for Christ you just can’t beat.
Rock Solid Youth were filling the altar.
Stand for the Lord they would do without falter.
The quietest room of all was behind the adult door,
for we had met the challenge to fight the Lords war.
Dragging our feet we went home to our beds.
With visions of next week running through our heads!
Sunday was here before we all knew.
Worship the Lord was what we planned to do!
Arrows for Christ were louder than all.
We could hear their praises all down the hall.
Little Lambs had songs, prayers, lessons and such.
Donna and Billy just love and teach them so much!
The Sanctuary was full and sending prayers above.
There is no greater blessing than feeling the Lords Love.
He gave a great sacrifice so that we may live.
We question not for it is not our life to give.
To do what he asks is our only choice.
He calls upon us in that we should rejoice.
With a whisper and a touch we heard from our prince.
“I AM HERE, TAKE MY HAND, LET’S MAKE A DIFFERENCE!”
