Mount Olive Ministry Center derives its name from Biblical context.

• Mount Olive
  Jesus said that his house shall be called a house of prayer (Matt. 21:13, Mark 11:17, Luke 19:46) and in the gospels many times Jesus went to the Mount of Olives to rest and seek God. In fact, the last time he had a chance to spend alone with God was on the Mount of Olives in prayer. Thus the name of this church is..."A House and Place of Prayer."
  
• Ministry Center
  "Ministry" denotes several different aspects; works, meeting the needs of people, teaching, counseling, aiding, proclaiming, etc. Therefore, Ministry Center expresses that Mount Olive Ministry Center is a place where people work together to meet the needs of others.

Mount Olive Ministry Center is a New Testament church striving to meet the spiritual, physical, mental and emotional needs of individuals in the surrounding communities through proclamation and application of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The founding principle of Mount Olive Ministry Center is to ultimately fulfill our Lord's greatest commandments—Matthew 22:37-40 and His great commission—Matthew 28:19-40. The heart of Christ is to love one another and to love and worship God; while making disciples, baptizing them into the fellowship and teaching them to be like Christ.

Our Mission will be accomplished through six functions of the church:

1. Worship—a recognition of God for who He is and what He has done for us.
2. Ministry—meeting the needs of people.
3. Evangelism—believers sharing the gospel with the world.
4. Fellowship—identification with the body of Christ.
5. Discipleship—Him we preach warnign every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. Colossians 1:28
6. Missions—evangelism and ministry outside the boundaries of the local body of Christ.

Through effective and prayerful application of the six functions of the church, Mount Olive Ministry Center plans five results; salvation fo the lost, spiritual maturity, numerical growth, expansion of ministries and established missions.
